Yep, it's old and hasn't been updated in a while, so I realized there was always the risk of some incompatibility cropping up. The add-on has not been updated since 2015, so there might be some other incompatibility, as well. (The session-store/ backups seems to be working fine, and the recovery.jsonlz4 gets updated every few minutes.)Įdit: it's been a bit more than 24 hours, so I'm restoring my FEBE backup now.įirst of all, thank you for taking the time to respond. Opening this tab hasn't created any sessionstore file either. Not even an 1KB file with the pinned tabs info alone.Īs I said, this is not much of an issue for me since I (hopefully) have an intact FEBE backup, but if there are any troubleshooting steps I can take that can help you figure out what caused this, please let me know - I've kept the 'restore session' tab open, and will keep the browser unused for a few more hours, to not change things too much. But there wasn't any sessionstore file in the profile folder somehow (with any extension): explorer listing 1 and 2. When I saw the session data had gone missing, I went to my profile folder (from about:support), looking to replace my sessionstore file. Thankfully I made a FEBE backup only a few hours before this, so it's not much of a problem, but I wanted to report something strange and see if I'm missing something: Hi, I tried a browser restart as a first attempt towards this (to do a plain unchanged restart first before doing a locale change and a restart), and that opened up a new can of worms - I got the "well this is embarrassing page" with only my pinned tabs in the tabs list. Mini-screenshot of the error dialogue, just in case: (the second word in the title means something like "usage" or "application") All the other dials don't work either when clicked on when I enter the shortcut. The centre dial saying Fo is the dial that goes to another Dial-group, that now works when clicked but not when I press Ctrl-14 (which used to work). My memory is vague on when I updated to the latest Waterfox, but it's quite likely I did that just last week, and that's when the issue started.Įdit: Screenshot of the Dial page, for those not familiar with it: I've been seeing this for the past few days, maybe a week. (Also, my Home toolbar button and the Alt-Home shortcut don't do anything at all, and that's possibly related to this since my Home is set to "chrome://speeddial/content/speeddial.xul") Those have target addresses like "chrome://speeddial/content/speeddial.xul?group=1", and clicking on them works as usual taking me to the other group, but trying their keyboard shortcut again brings the same TypeError mentioned above. I have Speed Dial groups (eg one for work stuff, one for social media, etc.), and the addon allows creating dials to go from one group to another too - and those are still partially working. Speed Dial also allows keyboard shortcuts to open things, but that's also not working now: when I press Ctrl-11 to open reddit, I again get the same message "TypeError: aTab.linkedBrowser is null". When I click on any dial I've saved a site in, there's an error message saying "TypeError: aTab.linkedBrowser is null". For the past few days, the Speed Dial addon by Josep del Rio hasn't been working on Waterfox. I've been using Waterfox for a few months now, and hadn't run into any issues until recently.
